Silverfish

Silverfish are some of the oldest insects in the world, It is said they have inhabited the planet for over 400 million years. Silverfish are unlike many other pest as they prefer their food sources to be along the lines of paper, glue, and other starchy substances like toothpaste, cardboard, rice and pasta. Silverfish can also live for up to a year without a food source.

Silver fish love dark damp and high humidity areas such as kitchens and bathrooms and can cause serious problems in a home of office environment feasting on papers, photos, books, art even plaster.

Chemical tolerance and the habit of silverfish can make treatment quite tricky so it is is important that if you suspect and silverfish infestation you call a qualified pest technician to inspect and treat the problem.
